MAC KEAN

Rings allow you to position the matrix band so as to replicate the initial anatomy when rebuilding the interproximal point of contact. the grip arms on the mac kean ring positioning forceps are compatible with the positioning of the grips used during the preparation of the operative area.
The box includes :
• 3 Mac Kean separators (2 premolars - 1 molar)
• 24 Ivory 14 matrix bands
• 1 Ivory forceps divers ( voir tableau de référencement)

Protocol
1) Choose a matrix band appropriate to the proximal area of the tooth to be restored (width slightly greater than the marginal crest of the adjacent tooth)
2) Choose the appropriate Mac Kean ring
3) Position the matrix band so that it fits snugly around the area to be restored
4) Place the wedge so that the matrix band is securely positioned around the area to be restored
5) Position the Mac Kean separator using the Ivory forceps, so that the matrix band is securely positioned against the proximal area to be restored and that it separates the tooth slightly from the adjacent tooth in order to compensate for the setting contraction of the restoration material
